The appliance fits nicely under the counter. Works well both as a microwave and a small oven. As a family of two the convection oven feature is great. The only disappointment is that the outside looks like it is dented. It was replaced once but still looks like a flaw. That is disappointing.

We remodeled our kitchen after 40 years and chose Bosch applicances for our new kitchen. Ordered them in April and they arrived in September and October due to delays of one thing or another. We are very pleased with all that we brought and would recommend them to others who are looking to upgrade their kitchen.
I do have one word of caution about the five year extended warrenty. It starts when the applicance is brought - not when it arrives or when it is installed. Our five year warrenties are 4 1/2 year warrenties. We paid for half a year of warrenties when we did not have the applicances. Sad.

Sudden and Total Failure After 3 years

Manufactured January 2018. Installed in April of 2018. Died March 31, 2021. Upon opening the door, the display flashed and went dead. It's dead Jim. Totally fried.
This appears to be a common problem. We, unfortunately, are stuck replacing it. It is built in, we're not going to redo our kitchen cabinets. We will choose replace rather than repair so that we can get the extended warranty on the new one.
An appliance that fails totally after three years is poor quality and unacceptable for a brand name of Bosch's reputation and premium prices.
Very nice oven when it worked. If you buy this oven, which as noted was very nice when it worked, this is a time when getting the extended warranty is likely to pay off.

This is the high end model and it broke in less than 2 years. We had repair company come out, only to be told that replacment parts are 'obsolete' (REALLY!?!?!? OBSOLETE after only 2 years? It's not like we're asking to fix a 20 year old machine.) After MONTHS of back & forth, we have to buy a new microwave - however, nne of the dimentions match dimenesions of this machine & I am not willing to replace or modify or customer kitchen cabinets to fit a microwave....so, you guessed it...we have to buy ANOTHER one of these machines that is sure to break again. DO NOT BUY THIS! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Does the job well. Quieter than many microwaves. Simple, elegant looking design. Only issue with this microwave is that you have to clear once you are done otherwise, it will continue to chime and is annyoying.

I really loved the the speed oven when we first bought it, along with built in oven, gas cooktop, and dishwasher- all benchmark level. The best part of the speed oven is that it cooks fresh vegetables perfectly for us! However, since the beginning, it was hard to read the display- much too light, same with the end beep. Also, frequently, it trips the breaker. Now after 4.5 years, there is a problem with the door- so I guess we need to call the repairman- then we can replace the control panel- that's what the repair people suggest. Also, on the oven, the built in auto probe has never worked. At the first service visit, they fixed something inside, and said the auto probe would now work. Nope!
Very disappointing in bosch- I loved my first bosch oven and dishwasher, but quality isn't there anymore.

HUGE Disappointment! This is the 3rd Bosch kitchen appliance that I have had to have major repair work in order to be functional. Updated Kitchen appliances 3 years ago, new induction cooktop, double oven and warming drawer...I selected Bosch based on fabulous dishwashers I have owned. These 3 new appliances ALL have failed and have had major repairs. The microwave portion of double oven is nonfunctional and is awaiting a new "board". Even the technician who diagnosed the problem said that "Bosch does not make appliances like they used to" (direct quote). I advise all my friends to buy the diswashers but look to other companies for other kitchen appliances.

Sorry, but I really wanted to love this speed oven. Unfortunately, my brand new speed oven died two times within a 6 month period. Control panel went blank each time, wouldn't respond to anything. Such a shame.

I was a little apprehensive at first too. You simply have to get used to the oven, then it's so much better. Just reduce the temperature on all traditional recipes, and it's otherwise exactly the same, except it takes way less time, and cooks way more evenly. Great product.

We've had this for 2.5 years and had repairmen out 3 times to fix. The last one left me extra part becasue he has to replace them so often in th eunit. What we've paid in repairs we could have bought a new one. When it works it's great but when it doesn't it's at least $350 to fix.

1st unit under manuf warranty went out 3 times, each time they had trouble finding a repair person. I would wait months for repairs (so I rarely got to even use it during that time it sat broken). I thought I got a bad one, so I got another of the same to match my other appliances and it's been the same. This one has went out consistently every 3-5 months. This last time it lasted a few days after the repair man came and now I wait again for a repair. Meanwhile, my good old trusty 10 year old cheapy countertop model is still going (we have to keep it out because the Bosch breaks so much which defeats the point of spending all that $ on a space saving in wall unit). The in wall unit basically sits there because we have hardly used it. I am afraid to use the oven function due to the fragility of these so we have only used the microwave and not even very often. It is hard losing so many lost days at work to wait on repair people. This is the 5th repair to this unit in less than a year. Next time I will get a different brand. Repair man said they are made to last 1 year, we weren't that lucky with either unit.

Have had this speed oven for three years and it has broken down four times. Twice it had to have the entire wiring harness replaced and every time it has also needed the door switches replaced. Usually takes a month or two to fix as the parts are always back ordered. If I didn't already have the matching wall oven stacked with it, I would have given up on this thing a long time ago. The only saving grace was I got a three year extended warranty where I purchased it. Make sure you do the same, you will need it!

We enjoy that this was installed over our oven. Easy to keep clean. Everything seems to wipe right off the sides and you can easily remove the bottom rotating dish to clean or wipe down. No real hard chemicals needed to wipe down.
